Description
ALPK2 Manual Blood Pressure Monitoring Machine with Stethoscope (Made in Japan)
The ALPK2 Manual Blood Pressure Monitoring Machine with Stethoscope is a traditional cuff-and-stethoscope (auscultatory) kit for measuring blood pressure at home, in clinics and in hospitals. It uses an adjustable arm cuff, a pressure gauge and a hand bulb, with a stethoscope to listen for Korotkoff sounds in packages that include one. The product is listed as made in Japan.
Manual measurement depends on technique: the right cuff size, the arm at heart level and slow, steady deflation. Used correctly, the auscultatory method is the one many clinicians rely on, and it needs no batteries.
Doctor’s note: A single reading does not diagnose high blood pressure. Measure at the same time each day, keep a log and share it with your doctor. Seek urgent care for very high readings with chest pain, severe headache, shortness of breath, weakness or confusion.
